01
Kid reality
A proper kids' club for 4 - 12s and a separate baby/toddler space for under-4s, both included in most rates and staffed by people who actually do this for a living. Several pools - including a fenced, shallow kids' pool that's its own body of water from the adult ones. Acres of paths, no road noise, and a short walk to a calm Blue Flag beach. Our four-year-old came home knowing how to say 'agua' and 'más, por favor'.
02
Parent experience
Spa, six restaurants, a wine list with a sommelier who doesn't condescend, and yoga at 8am if you're that kind of parent (we're not, but it's there). Service is calm and quietly competent rather than warm - Mallorca, basically. The grand-hotel scale means you can find a quiet corner whenever you need one, which with kids matters more than any single amenity.
03
Sleep setup
Family rooms have a separate kids' alcove behind a proper door that meaningfully muffles sound. Cot, high chair, baby bath and a stroller available on request and delivered before arrival. Blackout blinds work in both rooms. Adults on the terrace at 9pm with a glass of wine, kids asleep - it works.
04
Logistics
Car useful but not essential - Palma airport is 75 min, the property runs a paid transfer service. The hotel itself is fully self-contained: restaurants, pools, kids' club, beach access, a small village of shops. Inside the grounds, paths are stroller-flat and there's a buggy service if you're far from your room.
05
Food situation
Six restaurants on site, three of which are genuinely kid-easy with proper kids' menus and 6pm seatings. Breakfast is an enormous buffet included in most rates - every dietary need quietly handled. The Mediterranean restaurant by the pool is the daily lunch default and never feels repetitive. You can stay on-site for every meal without going stir-crazy.
06
